This position will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate project planning and plan delivery in order to identify dependencies, maximize opportunities for collaboration, support transactional and transformational change management, and minimize risks and issues. The Project Manager will provide project management expertise and leadership in order to ensure project success. Specifically, the incumbent will develop and implement project workplans (deliverables and timelines); identify risk/challenges and associated mitigation strategies; and conduct regular workplan status reporting to monitor progress and inform decision-making. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESProject ManagementServes as the project lead for complex projects as assigned by senior leadershipCreates and controls all project management artifacts needed to effectively strategize, plan and execute on project objectives.Develops, with key internal and external stakeholders and partners, the project work plan, monitors and controls the work per the project plans.Represents the Mississauga Halton Local Health Integration Network (LHIN) with internal and external stakeholders in the course of project workPrepares complex project plans, activities, budgets, schedules, project documentation and reports on project status to the project sponsor and stakeholdersProvides support to senior management/ leadership on prioritizing projects based on risks, resources and potential for quality improvement to assist with the operational planning processesFacilitates the development of new business processes with subject matter experts and frontline staff as it relates to project workAssesses project risks and develops mitigation strategies Advises senior management on the viability of existing projects including recommendations on whether to proceed, modify or haltWorks with Mississauga Halton LHIN staff to ensure projects are clearly outlined and expectations establishedAssigns tasks to subject matter experts and other project resources; monitors their work and provides assistance as required to ensure work is completed on time and the project is delivered successfullyWorks with the Project Management Assistant to produce project management materials presentations, graphics, and other visuals to interpret and illustrate key management concepts/initiativesDevelops project templates and methodologies for use across the organizationHandles complex project related problems in an expedient and efficient manner requiring professional judgment and latitude for independent actionWorks with Mississauga Halton LHIN staff to ensure projects are clearly outlined and expectations established Develops and delivers presentations using various visual tools (power point, graphics, etc.) to effectively communicate to the client groupContributes to a safe and healthy environment by following safe work procedures, reporting injuries, illnesses, and unsafe working conditions affecting Mississauga Halton LHIN employees and patientsLeadershipProvides ongoing project specific leadership and direction to all project stakeholders including senior leadership, external providers and internal staff/managementIdentifies project budget requirements, prioritizes, and requests resources through project sponsor; reviews and evaluates project results and implements improvement strategies to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency of processesSupports senior management in all areas by minimizing risks related to project implementation while enhancing service expectations and accountabilityRelationship ManagementWorks with colleagues on inter- and intra- LHIN committees.Develops, fosters, and manages effective business relationships and channels of communicationRepresents the Mississauga Halton LHIN at provincial and local project related planning and implementation tablesBuilds relationships with other LHIN’s to inform project planning and share past project experiencesStrong relationship management skills, including engaging, communicating with and collaborating with stakeholders, and facilitating groups.Professionally represents the employer in conferences and meetings.Collaborates with stakeholders in the implementation of organizational plans and programs.Employs consensus building skills to ensure the most beneficial outcomes.Develops and maintains collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization to ensure the most effective services are provided.Demonstrates sensitivity and political acuity in all interactions.QUALIFICATIONSEducation, Training & ExperienceUniversity degree in Social Sciences, Health Care, Business Administration or related field;
