As an integral member of the Infrastructure department and under the direction of the Head, Planning and Integration, the MANAGER PROJECT PLANNING & INTEGRATION takes a leadership role in the management, organization and orchestration of all aspects of planning for renovation projects within their portfolio. The successful candidate will work closely with the FM-PRO leadership, UHN Executive Project sponsors and staff to understand and plan for key capital project initiatives as prioritized by the organization.
The principal responsibilities include:
Developing and implementing strategies to effectively manage the user group planning process
Performing financial management activities
Preparing schedules and specifications
Portfolio resource allocation and planning
Preparing contracts and negotiating revisions
Changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, and clients
Hiring and supervising the activities of personnel and consultants
Staff supervision, mentoring and development
Performing quality management responsibilities
Performing administrative responsibilities to ensure the efficient operation of the department
Performing cross-functional duties as assigned and/or requested
Performing other duties consistent with the job classification, as required
QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of a recognized architectural and/or design technology diploma program or recognized equivalent required
Five (5) years related experience in the architectural planning industry required
Experience with Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (Ontario) Capital Planning required
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required
Excellent time management and organizational skills required
Excellent problem recognition and resolution skills required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Excellent analytical skills required
Ability to produce high quality reports and meet scheduling deadlines required
Computer literacy required
