Position: Project Coordinator (4 positions)
Site: Multiple Sites across UHN
Department: Facilities Management – Planning Redevelopment and Operations
Reports to: Manager, Capital Renewal; Manager, Non-Clinical; Manager, Clinical Projects
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Status: Permanent Full-time
As an integral member of the Infrastructure department, the PROJECT COORDINATOR, organizes and orchestrates design and construction projects, under the direction of a Manager (or designate). The principal responsibilities include: developing and implementing strategies to facilitate the cost effective and timely execution of multiple, simultaneous, small and large scale renovation, infrastructure renewal or construction projects; monitoring the progress and quality of work associated with project outcomes; performing financial responsibilities such as defining project costs and monitoring budget activity; performing other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned or requested to contribute to the efficient functioning of the Infrastructure portfolio.
Completion of an undergraduate degree program in architecture, engineering, construction management, or recognized equivalent required.
Minimum 0-2 years related practical experience
Progression towards project management, construction management certificatiosn or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification an asset.
Architectural (OAA), CET, E.I.T. or P.Eng. designation an asset
Experience in consulting, construction or contract administration is an asset.
Experience working in a healthcare environment, major institutional or public sector, an asset.
Knowledge of building technical codes and standards applicable to acute health care environments an asset
Demonstrated ability to read construction contract documents including drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of Broader Public Sector Procurement Directives and Supply Chain Guidelines an asset
Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills required.
Excellent problem recognition and resolution skills required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail required.
Excellent analytical skills required.
Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office applications required.
