Reporting to the Senior Manager, Leadership Planning and Career Strategies, the Program Manager contributes to the design and development of enterprise talent strategies related to leadership planning and career development to build and sustain a healthy and diverse talent pipeline at BMO. Key Accountabilities: Play a lead role in the design, implementation and project management of key activities that will lead to the successful launch of talent related tools in our HR system (talent profile, development plan, succession, reporting etc.) Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of processes, tools and practices that support leading talent practices to drive the leadership planning cycle and our career program. Identify requirements to generate strong data outcomes from leadership planning and career program activities Leverage Human Centered Design strategies to develop innovative practices that foster internal talent mobility and support engagement / retention of internal talent Plan training content and manage the logistics and delivery for sessions with HR stakeholders (Talent Advisors, Workforce Solutions and HR Business Partners) to ensure consistent implementation of our talent programs Report on and contribute to the analysis of the leadership pipeline. Work with the Sr Manager and Talent Insights/Workforce Planning team to provide insights on the future supply and demands of the strategic leadership pool. Contribute to the creation of talent dashboards ; track key metrics and maintain dashboard Conduct both internal and external research to further BMO’s knowledge and expertise regarding talent management, people practices and leadership and succession planning. Contribute to the ongoing assessment and evolution of the requirements for effective leadership planning and career practices Support the change management processes to drive a seamless program execution and to help institutionalize best-in-class leadership planning practices Manage talent and succession systems as needed to report on leadership and succession outcomes (e.g. succession management, audit process) Monitor and assess progress of leadership planning and career programs throughout the year. Experience Required: A senior level professional with 5-7 years work experience in business and/or human resources in customer-focused organizations. Ideally candidates should have experience within the Financial Service industry. This position requires an individual with a proven capability to: Drive best in class outcomes through innovative program design and execution excellence Leverage Human Centered Design strategies to build technology solutions that will deliver impact Define system requirements, producing, running and interpreting reports Effectively research and analyse data Effectively Project manage and drive seamless program execution Design tools, resources and guides for multiple stakeholder groups (e.g. Advanced PowerPoint skills) Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or Masters level degree in HR Supplementary education/ designations in: Consulting, Human Centered Design, Analytics, Digital Channels Knowledge & Skills: This role requires the ability to co-create with internal partners, ability to move quickly and experiment, strategic thinking, and an ability to deliver pragmatic, simple solutions that translate directly into business results.
