More information can be found atwww.lafarge.ca/en/careers.The Production Operator is responsible for the day to day operations of slag plant, and truck loading which includes:Constant monitoring of process control equipment, quality and environmental parameters, and starting and stopping of related equipment used in the manufacturing process,On-line process quality control with regards to additives, and raw slagTroubleshoot, correct, and inspect plant equipment with regards to the slag cement manufacturing processThe Production Operator operating the roller press and ball mill and loading trucks at a given time.Operations and optimization of roller press and ball millRemote loading of bulk trucks. Ensuring proper product, weights and tickets is completed.Monitor and report all safety, production, quality and environmental operations to the QC & Production Supervisor, which are not in compliance with Regulatory or Lafarge Canada Inc. guidelines.Answer phones on off-hoursResponse and co-ordinate if required emergency response situations or incidents by radio or phone.Maintain accurate recordkeeping, including but not limited to shift report, downtime report, daily report, entering of work-orders, etc.Preventative maintenance inspections of plant equipment, including trouble shooting, lubrication and running repairs of plant equipment.Collect, prepare and analyzing of routine samples of process control related materials, including but not limited , blaines, mircotrack and moisture.Completed High School Diploma (Grade 12)Valid Ontario. Driver’s license.This position requires certain qualities, both physically and mentally which are considered outside the normal basic ones expected from workers; specifically in communication, walking and climbing, meeting production and quality demands, and responding to plant emergencies or crisis that arise during a shift. It is expected of a Production Operator to pre-qualify for this position through testing and be able to complete a rigorous training program.
