Summary A Product Manager, Senior Client SolutionsAssociate position where the candidate must be well versed in industry practices and with the Canadian merchant market. The candidate will be responsible for understanding and identifying Canadian market needs, translating these market ideas into requirements, and working with technical product managers, technology staff, and/or vendors to develop product. This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Client Solutions. Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1. Develops business plans, product marketing strategy, competitive analysis and forecasts for Chase Merchant Services. 2. Provides functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. 3. Leads projects to implement business plans. 4. Initiates and leads market research in the Canadian acquiring market. 5. Ensures Chase Merchant Services market competitiveness by staying current on product offerings and making adjustments to Chase Merchant Services market strategy. 6. Understands and is able to explain from a technical perspective existing product functionality, as well as future requirements. 7. Ensures compliance with all payment brand and governmental regulations. 8. Represents the company as a subject matter expert where appropriate. 9. Ensures product launches are complete and executed with a high degree of professionalism. 10. Works with sales and relationship management to close business and obtain new product ideas. 11. Mentors junior staff as appropriate. Preference for candidates with experience in electronic payments. 4. Experience with technical and financial concepts is required. 5. Experience/competence with Agile methodologies Skills or Special Abilities 1. Preference for candidates who also have experience outside of the product function (sales, operations, etc.). 2. Must have an understanding of marketing and product positioning. 3. Proficiency with computer software systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, MS Project. 4. Must have strong organizational skills to plan, organize and schedule resources. 5. Skill in understanding customer needs and providing quality customer service. 6. Demonstrated product leadership abilities. 7. Proven sales and negotiation skills required along with an in-depth knowledge of technology. 8. Ability to set and define strategy. 9. Proven strength in executive level presentations. 10. Knowledge of credit/debit card industry preferred.
