Keller Foundations Ltd (KFL), a subsidiary of Keller Foundations, LLC is a leading geotechnical contractor and engineering service firm with $150M CAD in annual revenue operating across Canada. We are seeking a Procurement Manager to join our established team of project and operational managers. This position is a new role and would be located in Acton, ON. Estimated annual spends across KFL is $100M CAD.The Procurement Manager reports directly to the Finance organization for Keller Foundations Ltd and matrix reports to Keller Procurement North America. This position is expected to develop and drive procurement best practices that lead to a reduction in cost across Canada. Additionally, Procurement Manager will be responsible to keep the procurement function aligned across Canada including the management of all procurement personnel and to collaborate and stay aligned with Keller’s overall North American Procurement roadmap. Key engineering and construction spend categories include construction materials (steel, cement/aggregate/grout, slurry), services (equipment rentals, freight, subcontract labor), and MRO/Indirect, with particular focus on the bid/award process.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage Keller Foundations including two to three buyers.Provide value-add to the bid/award process by working in conjunction with Project/Operational Managers and Keller NA Category Managers, through the understanding and implementation of category strategies across Canada.Champion change by being a central point of contact and collaborator with Keller Procurement on sourcing initiatives across Canada. Manage implementation of initiatives, drive procurement SOPs and provide feedback on ways to improve.Manage and assist Project Managers on the procurement strategy and execution (RFx, leveraging spend, post award negotiations) associated with large scale projects (e.g., cross region or business unit) and ensure a competitive bidding process is followed and that suppliers are properly managed.Periodically participate in negotiating Canadian/North American agreements with preferred suppliers.Capture and report procurement savings, in conjunction with NA Category Managers and local purchasers.Assist with any service related supplier issues on a case-by-case basis.Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor”s Degree in Construction/Civil engineering related field, Business, or Supply Chain. Significant knowledge of the construction industry is preferred.5+ years of experience in Procurement, Materials/Purchasing or Supply Chain processes especially if it relates to the construction and engineering industry. Development and implementation of Procurement category strategies across a de-centralized company is preferred.Self-starter with ability to communicate and influence both senior leadership and project managers and support staff and deliver proven results. Experience in management of a small team of buyers is preferred.Demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects, driving results independently and as part of a team.Analytical with solid proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of procure to pay systems, processes, and associated ERPs (Microsoft Dynamics AX) preferred.CPSM, CPM or equivalent certificates preferred that help demonstrate proficiency in Procurement and Strategic Sourcing. Proficiency in negotiation and contract development preferred.Knowledge of procurement policies and best practices within the construction industry a plusAbility to travel up to 25% for the first few months; 10% travel long-term.
