McCain Foods (Canada) – Florenceville Prepared Foods, is currently looking for StudentLabourer(s) to complete our team. The successful candidates will be trained in various areas of the Prepared Foods facility as general labourer. Students will be scheduled for Friday evenings as well as holidays and other opportunities as needed. Please note that this position is physically demanding and requires a strong safety awareness.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
oFollow JHA’s and work safely. Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)
oMust be able to work shifts on a rotating basis
oInterpret mixing formulas – Weighing, Mixing and blending of ingredients to recipe.
oCleaning and Sanitation of equipment. Maintaining a neat work area; daily housekeeping report of the area
oResponsible for identification and reporting of product quality issues.
oMust be able to work shifts:Evenings, weekends, etc.
oKnowledge of computer operations an asset
oAbility to work with minimal supervision
oAbility to lift approximately 35-40 lbs. on a continuous basis
oAbility to learn and function within different jobs in the plant
oAbility to respond to unexpected circumstances calmly and responsibly
oMust have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatly
oAbility to accept and embrace change in the day to day operations
oSuccessful completion of 90 day training period
oResponsible for following all safety requirements.
oOperates all of the equipment associated with the job assigned to
oMust be capable of making minor adjustments to machines to improve Dessert quality Documentation of ingredient codes, ingredient temperatures and tracking of finished product
oResponsible for timing out ingredients to ensure shift completion or change over.
oResponsible for following change over policy and requirements.
oResponsible for some sanitation duties.
oTrouble shoot, adjust and maintain equipment as required.
oMust follow “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP’s) and Critical Control Points (CCP’s).
oEnsureplant targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPI’s.
oRelay information to other Team members as an area Lead (Key Area Resource).
oAll additional duties as they become assigned.
