Our client is located in downtown Toronto and is seeking an experienced professional to join their team. Payroll Administrator About the Opportunity Full cycle payroll experience for both Canadian and US payroll Hire to termination, salary increases, deductions, remittances, month end, year end duties, T4s, ROEs, 401Ks, W2s, etc. Manage benefits and pension administration including enrollments, terminations, information changes, biweekly remittances Ensure reconcilement of benefit payments on a monthly basis Vacation tracking and reporting Review and approval of accurate and reliable data within a time reporting system ensuring it is agreed to payroll Analysis of input summaries to the time reporting system from other departments including engineering, operations and project management to then prepare allocation entries of time on a project by project basis Provide regular reports to finance and HR management including, but not limited to, journal entries, vacation accruals, monthly and quarterly payroll reconciliation amounts, headcount, etc. Co-ordinate, review and distribute year-end tax forms Create and maintain employee files Manage employee advances against receipt of manager approved expenses on a regular basis Assist in preparing and developing communication and education materials regarding the benefits and pension programs About You Post-secondary college diploma 3-5 year payroll experience Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) or similar designation a definite asset Proven ability to manage full cycle payroll in both Canada and the US Experience using Ceridian and/or ADP payroll interface systems In-depth knowledge of relevant payroll and benefits legislation and tax laws Experience in handling various benefits administration programs Bookkeeping and accounting experience would be an asset for understanding accounting entries AccPac experience an asset Proficiency with MS Office specifically, Excel, Word and Outlook Strong time management, organizational and problem solving skills Detail oriented, high level of accuracy and the ability to handle confidential information Salary $50,000/year How to Apply Click the “Apply Now” button and follow the instructions to submit your resume.
