For more details, visitwww.corrpro.ca.Supervisory AssignmentsEffectively supervise and mentor senior staff team (4 – 6 individuals)Complete regularly scheduled employee evaluations and developmental career conversationsFacilitate regular team meetingsProvide direction and support to subordinates as requiredApprove weekly Journyx (payroll) submissions for direct reportsManage and approve as required all vacation and LOA requests for direct reportsProject/Construction AssignmentsPrepare bid proposals and submit to supervisor for review/approvalAcquire and assign RFQ’s and track progressBuild budgets/costing for all projectsPlan and coordinate several major projects of extended duration or requiring multiple tasks.Prepare required submittal documents for approval by the reviewing authorityAnalyze month-end Job Cost Report for individual projects, confirm job budget goals are met and determine an action plan when they are notEnsure that monthly invoices are accurately prepared and submitted to individual customersMonitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely collection on invoicesWork within allotted time constraints to complete project deliverablesMeet and/or communicate with clients on a professional level to ensure positive relations and efficient execution of projectsManage and assign responsibilities for Engineering Team and CP Department to obtain the most effective utilization of resources and meet our commitments to clientsDevelop and continually improve standard operating procedures for the divisionParticipate in reviewing and approving all customer contracts, purchase orders, and work authorizations regarding the scope of work, customer expectation, and project objectives for construction projectsData and Report PreparationReduce raw field data to tables and/or charts to facilitate interpretationUsing standard word processing software, create customer survey reportsPrepare all Quality Control DocumentationPrepare field sketches for submittal to drafting staffComplete Daily Inspection Reports for all on-site field inspectionsAdditional ResponsibilitiesMaintain continuous and profitable working relationships with customersProvide technical assistance to contractorsAssist in training entry-level technical staff personnelAccurately and clearly present data in an organized and consistent mannerDirect the activities of field engineer/technician(s) or a construction crewUse good judgment in planning and scheduling multiple project assignmentsUse knowledge of project documentation to expedite job completionOperate and maintain company vehicles and equipment safely at all timesReport vehicle and equipment maintenance requirements to supervisorMaintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of company equipmentInform supervisor at every fiscal year of new capital expense requirementsMaintain open job files for ready access by all office personnelAccompany sales personnel on technical sales calls to prospective clientsBid selected projects and assist in estimating quantities for sales quotationsMonitor client receivables and assist in efforts to collect overdue accountsOther duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsTechnical Engineering Diploma, or an approved science, or equivalent combination of education and experience7+ years of relevant corrosion prevention, cathodic protection experience and/or pipeline experienceClass 5 driver’s license with good standing drivers abstract1-2 years of supervisory experience preferredStrong management and problem solving skillsNACE CP2 Certification preferredAble to handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong interpersonal skillsPhysical RequirementsGeneral sedentary position with frequent computer-related activities, such as typing and viewing a computer monitor are required. Standing and walking required throughout the day. Occasional stooping, bending, reaching, and twisting are required. Occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. Occasional driving is required.
