Permanent full-time and part-time Neuropsychologist positions

Department: Complex Injury Outpatient Rehab Service

is the World’s #1 Rehabilitation Research Centre and is revolutionizing health care. We currently have permanent opportunities to join our Complex Injury Outpatient Rehab (CIOR) Service; a holistically oriented outpatient acquired brain injury rehabilitation program.
Neuropsychologists who want to contribute to a dynamic interprofessional team specializing in the assessment and treatment of complex injuries should apply. Focussed on best practice, research and innovation, our unique and expanding third party funded program is dedicated to providing the best possible care to each patient.
At CIOR, our group of neuropsychologists work collaboratively with the team consisting of neurology, physiatry, psychiatry, psychology, pharmacy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, kinesiology, psychometry, rehab therapy and our return to work coordinator.
The neuropsychologist provides psychological an neuropsychological assessments and intervention in individualized 1:1 and group based treatment formats.
There are also exciting opportunities to support the growth of this service and participate in program development, evaluation, quality improvement initiatives, teaching and research.
What you bring to Toronto Rehab:
PhD. or Psy.D. in Psychology with valid registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (i.e., C.Psych.); proof of professional liability insurance
Declared competency in the area of Clinical Neuropsychology and Clinical Psychology (adults); with no restrictions on license to practice
Declared competence in both Assessment/Evaluation and Intervention/Consultation
At least two years experience conducting assessments of individuals with a variety of neurological problems; acquired brain injury preferred
Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development
Experience writing professional reports for third party payors preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
Experience working in an interdisciplinary setting
Experience providing group psychotherapy or psychoeducation
Declared competence with families an asset
Membership in OPA or CPA preferred
