Dynacare is currently looking for 4 Medical Laboratory Technologists/ Pathologist Assistants to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a dynamic team within a growing organization.Reporting to the Dynacare Director: Women’s College Hospital, Toronto, Ontario, this is apart-time position,working daily with various shifts at the Women”s College Hospital in Toronto.Responsibilities:Performs gross examinations of surgical specimen, selects, dissects and prepares tissue sections for further-processingand examinationConducts non-technical routine laboratory tests and procedures underthe direction of professional staffSets up and operates laboratory equipment inpreparation for specimen examinationsOpens, separates, numbers and arranges specimensfor laboratory examinationand trace resultsMaintains simple laboratory records and inventoryfor supplies and reagentsMaintains laboratory equipment and supplies by cleaningand maintaining quality assurance records Maintains a clean and sanitary work area inaccordance with standard laboratory practice and proceduresEnsures quality control checks and standardsare run as requiredResponsible for collecting dataand writing the SOP’s.Participates in all quality assurance programs and ensurescompany and Ministry of Health guidelines are observedOther duties as requiredMust have:Graduate of an approved Laboratory Sciences program or equivalentCMLTO Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist – practicing designationin goodstandingDemonstrated proficiency with Word, Exceland Outlook at an intermediatelevel.1 year of experience workingin the Histology DepartmentNice to have:Excellent computer skills an assetMedical terminology an assetKnowledge of Gross Anatomy and dissection techniquesKnowledge of Microanatomy an assetAbility to multitask and work in a team environmentDNA of An Ideal Dynacare EmployeeI make a difference in people’s lives.I am a caring, collaborative team-player who is passionate about quality and continuousimprovement.Caring – I demonstrate strong empathy and genuine concern for my colleagues,patients and customers.Collaborative Team Player – I know I play a key role in helping the Dynacare team achieve success.I am comfortable in a changing environment,and I can easily manage multiple priorities.Passion for Quality and Continuous Improvement – I am always looking to learn and solve problems.
