We currently have an opportunity for a Regular Part Time Medical Lab Tehcnologist in the Hematology Department located at the Bayview Campus and Women’s College Hosptial.
Summary of Duties
The Medical Laboratory Technologist will provide technical, scientific education and supportive services to assist in the provision of patient care. The MLT performs routine testing in Haematology, Coagulation, and verifies/interprets laboratory results. It is essential that the MLT promote activities which enhance best practice for quality of service and a safe working environment.
M.L.T.O. Registration required
Recent Haematology experience
Recent Morphology experience preferred
Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the Organization
Ability to work as a part of a team and independently as required
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
Knowledge and understanding of CQI
Knowledge of quality assurance practices
Knowledge of IQMH
Computer skills required
