This position will work with a team of specialists to conduct field concrete compaction and various testing.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical services in a field and occasional in an office environmentConcrete, soil and asphalt compaction testing in the fieldConduct QA testing on MTO projectsin accordance with relevant standards and reportingMaintain equipment, inventory and records required for a CCIL certified laboratoryWork with an provide support to other members of the field technical group in assisting with other field activitiesAdhering to all company safety rules and policiesDiploma in Civil Technology or Civil Engineering or equivalentCurrent registration or eligibility for registration as an OACETT5 + years experience with civil construction practices and relevant testing standardsProficient in the Microsoft Office suite including Word and ExcelFamiliar with Quality Management SystemsStrong written, verbal communication and people management skillsExperience in writing technical reports, business development and client relationsAble to work independently in a small office / laboratory setting and liaise with local office manager and supervisorsPractical drafting experience using AutoCAD with knowledge of civil and municipal infrastructure design would be considered an assetValid driver”s license with acceptable driving experienceTravel out of town and willing to work overtimeWood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
