Role:This role is an integral part of the marketing department with potential involvement in many areas including: commodity transactions, transportation & price risk management for crude, natural gas, and power products. This position will support or be directly involved in planning, contract negotiation, and pricing/administration of all commodities. The candidate chosen will support the development of junior personnel.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting is preferredMinimum 7 years of oil & gas marketing/logistic experience, preferably in heavy oil / bitumen marketingSound knowledge of pipeline logistics and schedulingKnowledgeable of the heavy oil and condensate marketsClear understanding of industry calendar and key datesProficient in the use of Microsoft Office applicationsGood interpersonal and communication skills Well organized with excellent project management skillsCapable of working effectively in a dynamic/fast-paced environment with people from different disciplines, backgrounds, and culturesAble to manage multiple priorities and meet the demands of unpredictable activitiesDemonstrates initiative by identifying and taking on duties outside their scope of workAble to work under tight timelines and prioritize work to achieve expected resultsPrimary Responsibilities: Responsible for the scheduling of dilbit and diluent commodities, including Form A and nomination submissionsResponsible for spot oil, diluent, and natural gas sales and/or purchasesProvide support for all daily marketing operational tasks for all commoditiesDevelop and sustain strong relationships with internal operating and business groups, shippers, producers and other pipeline companiesNegotiate desired changes to elements of schedules as required with appropriate pipelineNegotiation and administration of crude oil, natural gas, and power contracts.Manage the transportation of all commodities.Provide support for Short-term and Long-term planning for all commodities.Assist in the preparation of monthly accruals; maintain pricing database; contract review and deal analysis. Cross train and provide back up to other team membersWorking Conditions:This role is located at our downtown Calgary Head Office. Provide on-call after hours and weekends, as required by the Company
