In this role you will help to support all critical business initiatives including sales growth, market penetration, customer retention and quality image at Carleton University Dining Services. We’re looking for someone that will help raise awareness for our brand, improve customer satisfaction, and elevate the consumer experience. The individual should be a data-driven digital marketer that will help build and scale our digital marketing programs.Key Responsibilities:Base Business Growth:Responsible for driving base business growth programs and strategies to improve market penetration and increase participation/sales.Ensures all promotions and other Execution Excellence framework initiatives are implemented across the account.Interacts with client management and maintain effective client and customer relations at all levels of the organization.Looks for opportunities to implement new products and services which support sales growth and client retention.Responsible for contributing metrics and analytics on Marketing initiatives for Quarterly Client Business reviewsWork with Marketing Director to implement strategy for EBI Survey in order to achieve desired student satisfaction scoresWork collaboratively Marketing Operations Manager to ensure that engagement activities are executedSupport execution of promotions from national brand partners, proprietary programming, client events, sponsorships, and moreTeam Development:Manages team of student peer-to-peer marketing internsEnsures necessary training and support are provided to the unit and that brand standards are fully executed at all identified points of service, resulting in sustainable growth in sales, customer satisfaction and increased profits.Works collaboratively with Marketing Solutions team to implement all national programs.Supports front line management with administration of marketing training and development programs for employees.Social Media:Build and execute social media strategy which includes generating, editing, publishing and sharing daily content on all platformsGenerating content for news, blogs, and email newslettersAssisting with various campaigns and planning special eventsResponsible for driving more customers to social, web, and mobile platforms as well as improving and implementing new strategies including website optimization, social media platforms, creating visual content, and developing partnerships with influencersCreate content for various programs including, email marketing, social marketing, online advertising, print advertisement, and public relationsUniversity or College Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related fieldMinimum 1-3 years experience in service industry preferably in food service or hospitality managementProven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to senior managementStrong understanding of consumer marketing principles in brand management, retail, and online channelsAbility to think creatively and be innovativeAnalytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challengesSkills using technology and methodologies in graphic design, web design, and website managementExcellent interpersonal and communications skillsDeadline driven and enjoys the creative processAbility to work well under pressurePhotography and editing skills are an assetProven working experience in social media marketingKnowledge of online marketing and a good understanding of major marketing channelsSuperior customer service orientationExperience using Google Analytics and SalesforceAre you up for the challenge?
