Job Number: 835401Category: ManagementPositions Available: 1Years Experience Required: 3Location: Toronto, OntarioPosted Date: Jan 2, 2019EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITYManager, Medical ServicesPhysician-in-Chief, Clinical ServicesPosition Description:The Department of the Physician-in-Chief (PIC)/Clinical Services is currently recruiting a Manager of Medical Services.Reporting to the Senior Director, Clinical Services with a dotted-line to the PIC, you will lead the Medical Services Office and provide support to the PIC portfolio.In this role, the primary accountability will be to organize and administer the processes involved in the recruitment, onboarding, credentialing and compensation of all medical staff. This will include establishing process and procedures for recruitment, orientation and on/off boarding, preparing and reconciling reports, spreadsheets and invoices; liaising with Finance for budget development and reconciliation; liaising with the CAMH Associationaround compensation packages, and adjustments; supporting the Hard Funds Committee; preparing reports and correspondence for the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care; and handling physicians’ inquiries pertaining to their compensation, onboarding and orientation processes. The successful incumbent will also be responsible for supervising the process related to granting and renewing hospital privileges for all physicians and the preparation of statistical reports pertaining to the Medical and Dental staff.You will also supervise the scheduling and manage the roster of physician on-call lists. The Manager will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to facilitate the activities of the Medical Services Office/PIC and you will liaise with multiple internal and external partners in the healthcare sector and participate in various sector-wide initiatives. You will work in an environment that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory requirements.This position is located at the Queen Street site.Qualifications:The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in health care, health administration, business administration (Masters preferred) or a related field from a recognized institution with three years of experience in management or an equivalent combination of education and experience within the healthcare sector.You possess excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity developing and using databases. You will have senior administrative skills in business management (including financial reconciliation and invoicing systems), communication, and budgeting. You will have the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment and possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.Respect for confidential information and knowledge of privacy legislation is required.The incumbent will also possess excellent judgment, tact and diplomacy to work with diverse teams and stakeholders. An ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve mutual goals and objectives is required.
