Manager, Human Resources BramptonSummaryReporting to the Plant Manager, the Manager, Human Resources leads and facilitates the development and implementation of effective Human Resources practices at the plant to secure and maintain a productive, diverse and engaged workforce. In conjunction with the various business partners, the incumbent supports the plant’s activities to achieve the required operational results, through effective implementation of integrated HR plans, programs and strategies. Key Accountabilities Ensures appropriate labour and management staffing levels in accordance within approved budgeted positions are maintained;Initiates and maintains a continuous dialogue with the Plant’s management, bargaining agent and employees on change issues and opportunities;Provide coaching and training support to the site team for employee and labour relations issues;Manages employee and labour relations at the plant to enhance the working relationships between the parties; appropriate administration of the collective agreements provisions; Effective dispute resolution up to and including arbitration;Provide counsel to line management and employees on appropriate interventions to address work-related issues;Supports effective employee attendance management at the Plant;Partners with the integrated HR Team to develop policies, programs, processes and provides feedback on their effectiveness, relevance and value to the Plant’s operations.RequirementsA degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
