Great Canadian Gaming is looking for our next
Manager, Food & Beverage
to join our Ontario Gaming West GTA team!
Reporting to the National Director, Food & Beverage, this position is responsible for the overall management and profitability of the multi-venue Food & Beverage outlet operations at the site level. Assists with the planning, directing and implementing all F&B initiatives while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and provides a learning environment. Develops performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for direct reports. Actively participates in the recruitment process.
Duties and responsibilities for our next Manager, Food & Beverage will include:
Providing leadership, direction and mentoring to the entire F&B operation; developing performance objectives and delivers performance evaluations for direct reports
Directing the day to day activities of the Food & Beverage department, including the culinary department
Assisting in the planning, development and implementation of F&B strategic plans as directed at the site level
Evaluating operations using operational information and report to constantly maximizes the revenues of the F&B outlets while minimizing operating costs
Managing labour costs for department, scheduling and supervising employees, verifying time and attendance, assigning shift work assignments when necessary
Assisting in the execution promotion/marketing of the business
Offering food and beverage expertise to internal and external customers
Carrying out inspections on a regular basis to ensure consistency; reporting maintenance and supply deficiencies
Ensuring monthly inventory processes and counts are completed to S.O.P standards consistently and accurately and forwarding discrepancies to management
Taking swift action on the guest satisfaction Comment Card Program (F&B), social media sites and direct guest concerns/feedback
Ensuring F&B operation is always in compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Analyzing financial results in areas of responsibility
Monitoring and ensuring standard operating procedures are consistently executed in regards to reconciles cash outs and forwarding discrepancy reports to accounting
Following up and providing corrective action to audit findings
Achieving maximum profitability, efficiency and excellence in all aspects of F&B including group and catered events
Ensuring high quality and standards of food, preparation, presentation, cleanliness and service
Building and developing Food & Beverage team
Promoting and marketing the business
Preparing and monitoring annual and long term F&B budgets and forecasts
Approving all Food & Beverage related POs and invoices
Liaising, supporting and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, management, employees and vendors
Performing other duties as assigned or directed

Post Secondary education in hospitality or suitable combination of education and experience an asset
Minimum 3 years F&B management experience; casino or hotel experience an asset
Computer literacy in MS Office; POS experience preferred; STA experience an asset
