Specific responsibilities include:Ensuring accurate and timely preparation of the fund financial statements and notes on annual and semi-annual basisEnsuring accurate and timely preparation of financial components of MRFPs on annual and semi-annual basis (e.g. management expense ratios), ensuring compliance with National Instrument 81-106Preparation of financial information for audit committee meetingsParticipate in coordinating launches of new funds and series Liaising with the internal and external auditors by preparing schedules, responding to queries, and providing supporting documentationEnsuring accurate and timely preparation of Fund Facts and ETF FactsMonitoring derivatives to ensure compliance with NI 81-102 Ensuring on-going adherence to internal controls policies and proceduresLead, motivate and develop a team of financial analystsAssisting in various adhoc projects, as necessaryThe following qualifications will assist the successful candidate in carrying out these responsibilities:Post secondary education – University DegreeCPA Chartered Accountant designation 5+ years of progressive finance/accounting/auditing experience including direct leadership experience within the mutual fund industryHigh Proficiency in Excel and PowerPointStrong analytical and problem solving skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to multi-task in a fast paced environmentHigh attention to detail, time management and organizational skillsAbility to build and maintain relationships with departments across the organizationInternal Applicants:If you are interested in applying for this position please direct applications on-line using the “apply for this job” icon located at the bottom or to the left of the posting.
