We are currently looking for a
Manager, Agency Sales
for our
Richmond Hill Agency . Reporting to the Agency Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Key Responsibilities
Support the Agency Manager in achieving the 12 month agency business plan and marketing plan
Maintain and enhance the corporate Brand image through strict adherence to agency standards
Conduct file reviews to ensure compliance with Underwriting guidelines and Brand policies/procedures
Handle escalated calls including complaints and questions from customers
Manage the performance of
7-12 direct reports (Business Development Agents)
Maintain a pipeline of Business Development Agents candidates by proactively sourcing and screening
Coach, develop, mentor and lead a team of successful Business Development Agent’s
Provide coaching to the Business Development Agent
‘s on developing strong centers of influence
Assist the Business Development Agent
‘s with business development activities, including attending community/tradeshow events, targeting Group Business for the Agency and executing against Marketing Plans
Support the Agency Manager in maintaining exceptional service levels in the Agency
Implement and adhere to established underwriting guidelines and practices to establish, build and maintain a profitable book of business
Qualifications and Experience
A minimum of 3 years as a Business Development Agent / Outbound Sales Experience
Previous management experience a definite asset
In-depth knowledge of Allstate sales processes and working knowledge of the customer service processes
Must have a Other Than Life (OTL) Insurance Licence
Demonstrated sales skills (particularly value based selling)
Strong customer service skills
Proven ability to adhere to Allstate quality targets
Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build strong relationships
Proven communication and collaboration skills
Strong knowledge of Allstate products and Underwriting rules
Strong knowledge of Allstate and vendor technologies
Cantonese / Mandarin communication skills a definite asset

Our agencies are open from 9am to 6pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 9am to 8pm Thursday, and 10am to 4pm on Saturday. Our standard work week for agency staff is 37.5 hours, and each employee must rotate their work schedule so that the Agency is staffed appropriately. Therefore, as a condition of employment, you will be required to work some evenings and Saturdays each month on a rotational basis with other Agency staff members.
