Maintenance Leader-Manufacturing Engineering
Our valued client, a world-class automotive parts company, is looking for a Maintenance Leader with strong Manufacturing Engineering skills to join their growing team.
Responsible for all production equipment and processes. Assist in resolving production problems, promote lean manufacturing principles, and support the development and installation of new equipment or processes. Manage manufacturing engineering resources.
Assist Plant Manager in identifying production priorities for improvement, i.e. production inefficiencies and uptime.
Maintain a documented weekly summary of completed work and track all lean activities and improvements
Analyze machine downtime and identify and correct mechanical problems
Provide leadership for the production team with program management regarding new launch, APQP, PFMEA, development gates, production set ups, tooling and equipment requirements, and process/product flow.
Communicate with maintenance team and the department manager, on all critical equipment changes and updates.
Assist in the management of the preventative maintenance program.
Report any manpower and disciplinary actions to the department’s manager.
Provide technical advice & assistance to maintenance personnel, contractors etc.
Assist in developing procedures and standard maintenance practices
Train personnel in performance of job tasks.
Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, standards and regulations.
Maintain job costing for mechanical projects, which should include components and personnel.
Ensure all employees follow the Company policies on Health & Safety and PPE requirements
Mechanical Engineering or related education
10 years of experience in a automotive manufacturing environment, 3 years supervisory
Demonstrated success leading in a team focused environment
Demonstrated skills: Management/Supervisory, Due diligence, Business Financial, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Design of Experiments, Project Management, Lean Manufacturing, Leadership
