If you are looking to join a busy but fun team work environment with day shifts and full training, we encourage you to apply.Records, understands, identifies and interprets schematics diagrams, drawings, parts list, bill of materials, assembly processes, quality tracking systems, failure reports and understanding acceptance test procedures and test resultsAssist on tests and debugging of high level network problems throughout the labs.Testing various modes of RF configuration for data routing capabilitiesConducts preventative and corrective maintenance as required by programWith assistance perform circuit design for breakout boxes and cables for specific test requirementsMentor/train junior technicians in debugging and testing of product and system configurationAlso preforms other related duties as requiredThe Person will be responsible for the configuration, building and distribution of specific test rack requirements.The ability to plan out configuration changes and installations to assist in builds and improvements within different labs.Ensure that the required person can work with different vendors to be able to order parts to build up cables, test rack and configuration boxes to prevent long delays on parts to be ordered.Preparation of lab drawings for configuration and Lab cable design.Oversees the monthly ESD checks and testing of all ESD benches throughout the Calgary Facility. Completing monthly reports and working with QA on Quarterly Audits.Have a back ground in working with VISIO if possible.Provide corrective and preventive action and recommendations for potential quality issues.Assist in commissioning and decommissioning of new and old labs.Be able to work closely with engineering and technical staff of other groups and to be able to provide mentoring to the junior technicians.Assist with Vehicle configuration needs for any Field Trials.Be able to work with little or no supervision when required.At least one year of previous professional experience and a Technical Institute/College Diploma or equivalent.The ideal candidate should have experience with planning, organizing, scheduling, Network Administration and MS Operating system abilityMinimum 10 year consecutive residence in Canada – for Canadian Secret Security ClearanceApplicants will be required to obtain/hold a valid and current Canadian security clearance to gain access to the classified spaces, information and equipment in order to perform the work associated with this position.General Dynamics Mission Systems–Canada is committed to employment equity and diversity in the workplace.
