Junior Server – 1888 Chophouse The junior server is truly the glue that holds the team together. As a junior server, you will be working a variety of evening shifts including weekends and weekdays. You will be assisting the servers in the daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient service. The junior server plays the liaison role between the dining room and the culinary side. Summary of Responsibilities: Reporting to the 1888 Chophouse Manager, r esponsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Provide knowledgeable, personalized, and safe food and beverage experience to our guests. Contribute to achieving loyalty of our guests by exceeding their expectations and providing, warm, personal service. Assist servers with clearing and delivering of guest’s meals. Being able to carry three hot plates efficiently & professionally Facilitating guest service through delivery of bread to tables after initial order. Ensure par stock of prep completed each day to have necessary tools to conduct service, ie. Napkins, cutlery, glassware. Acting as concierge for all our guests if needed. Maintain behaviours consistent with professionalism, including a high standard of personal grooming, appearance, etiquette and conduct. Have a complete understanding and adhere to company policies related to gratuities, fire emergency plans, hygiene and safety policies. Flip tables and re set with standard table settings. Attention to detail is a priority Keep your work environment clean and organized, to the health and safety standards to which Fairmont Hotels stands by. Proven track record for reliability, hardworking and energetic. A passion for wine and food is a must. Must be a team player. Proven exceptional guest service experience with sincere desire to exceed guest expectations. Extreme professionalism and exceptional grooming standards.
