Located in Mississauga, Ontario, our center of excellence for mine waste geochemistry provides world-class consulting services throughout Canada and around the world. Our team includes geochemists with backgrounds in geology, soil chemistry and engineering. Working collaboratively with our senior geochemists and other professionals we provide a positive entrepreneurial environment in which to work on challenging projects and continue your professional growth. Bachelors or Graduate degree in an applicable field (e.g. geochemistry, geology, soil chemistry, agrology, engineering)1-5 years’ experience, preferably within an environmental consulting firm or mining companyEligible for Professional accreditation (P.Geo, P.Eng. etc.) an asset but not a requirementExcellent verbal and written communication skillsClient-driven approach to deliverables and timelinesDemonstrated knowledge/experience in mining geochemistry including: Acid Rock Drainage and Metal LeachingMine waste geochemistry assessmentGeochemical sampling design and analytical methodsDatabase managementGeochemical modeling and predictive methodsWillingness to travel for field assignments (approximately 20-30% of time)Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
