Position Description: The Foreign Exchange (FX) Technology team is responsible for the core technologies providing trade capture and risk management for the FX business – traders and sales people. On the trading side, the systems allow traders to manage trades and positions, calculate P&L, and determine risk during the entire trading life-cycle. For salespeople, the technology team provides applications allowing them to price and execute trades agreed with clients, and to view clients’ trades, positions and revenues. We are seeking a strong Java/Server side developer to help us building our next generation solutions for FX sales desk. The Ideal candidate encompasses the following responsibilities: •Development, testing and deployment of internal applications used by FX Sales desk •Interactions and technical integration with external vendor platforms. •Working closely with colleagues in the FX technology team processing on FX transactions, PnL and sales credit calculations, integration with real time market data sources. •Dealing with users that span sales and trading, operations team to clarify business requirements, obtain agreement on implementation approach and deployment of new solutions. •Strong track records of solving technical problems and project delivery To support these responsibilities, the successful candidate has strong core Java knowledge, excellent problem solving, good analytical and written communication skills, be able to work collaboratively with other developers but also independently with limited supervision. The candidate will be expected to take an active role in the design, development, testing and delivery of back-end server processes, demonstrate strong ownership, commitment to meet deadline and delivery high quality product.
