BDO IT Solutions is in the process of recruiting a motivated Project Accountant to support our growing Digital Practice. In this role, the ideal candidate will be leveraging their ability to contribute to a fast-paced technology environment.You will join a team of professionals, focused on supporting our expanding customer base.The Project Accountant is accountable for project initiation, client invoicing, AR, monitoring project spending, approving expenses, investigatingvariances and WIP reconciliations.Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:Willingness to learn new technologies and take on extended responsibilitiesCreate client and project accountsin the accounting systemAuthorize access to project accountsMaintain project-related records, including contracts, change orders and purchase ordersProcessing and tracking orders, client invoicing and reconciliationsWork closely with cloud operations team to ensure accuracyReview and approve time sheets for work related to a projectReview and approve supplier invoices related to a projectFacilitate the transfer of expenses into and out of project-related accountsReview and approve overhead charges to be applied to a projectWIP reconciliations and revenue recognitionPerform client invoicing cycleAccounts Receivables management and client payment postingCalculate and report on project profitability Assist with forecast and trendingAssist with resource planningDeveloping tools, processes and research information necessary to evolve financial operationsAdditional administrative support as requiredSpecial projects as requiredEducation and Professional Skills/Knowledge:University degree or college diploma in relevant discipline requiredPursuing or willingness to obtain CPA designationProject accounting experience an assetExcellent operational and problem solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsGood presentation skillsAble to prioritize with the flexibility to manage multiple tasks and variable workloadAction and customer orientedProficient in MS Office Applications an assetOur Vision: One Firm engaged to make a difference through valued relationships with our people, clients and communities.
