Responsibilities: Prepare substation plan and profile view, grounding, lightning protection, lighting, cable trench, cable trays, conduit layout and detail installation drawings. Experience in preparing substation plan and profile view, grounding, lightning protection, lighting, cable trench, cable trays, conduit layout and detail installation drawings. Have experience in the study, technical knowledge, and design expertise of electrical distribution systems and renewable projects for a broad range of industries. You will possess particular knowledge in the design of low and medium voltage power distribution, including load flow, short circuit and grounding studies, transformer sizing, cable sizing, switchgear and motor control centres. Registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (P.Eng). Have a strong background in the design and specification of high voltage substations (up to 240 kV) with a heavy emphasis in Electrical Arrangement. Ideally have experience with high voltage substations for renewable and electrical utility clients. Registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario (P.Eng). The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing technical specification of the electrical equipment, evaluation of proposals, and will be able to review vendor drawings. You will have exceptional communication skills (client relations, team project communications, and proposal and report development).
