Job Details: We are currently looking for an experienced Intermediate Cost and Schedule Analyst (CSA) , to be based out of our Pickering office or at one of our client site offices in the Pickering/Ajax/Oshawa Region. This is an intermediate level position in cost and schedule, with a primary focus on scheduling. The candidate will be involved in the planning and scheduling functions for engineering, procurement, and maintenance, and will facilitate the development, update and analysis of the schedules. Responsibilities for cost control will include, but not limited to, cost reporting, progress reporting, change management, development and reporting of projects KPI’s, and resourcing planning, on both large and small sized projects, and works within project team to provide cost control and scheduling services. More specifically, all candidates will be assessed against the following education and experience background requirements Responsibilities: Scheduling Hands on planning, scheduling, administration and controls. Involved in all planning and scheduling functions including the development, maintenance, updates and analysis of the integrated schedules for engineering, procurement, and construction projects; Ensures that regular update reports detailing status, performance, critical paths, and analysis; are provided to the responsible managers; Monitors and analyzes resource utilization; Use of Primavera P6 scheduling software; Microsoft Project Interface with Customer on schedule integration and other issues as required Cost Control Develop understanding of the scope of work, schedule, estimate and procurement/contracting plan for assigned projects Participate in establishment of project coding in cooperation with estimating and planning. Convert the estimate into the control budget. Establish and maintain project in the cost control database (standard software). Using data provided by Engineering Leads establish engineering progress measurement formats in engineering progress measuring system (standard software). Establish and maintain project change control system Process information about commitments, actual cost, forecasts and changes supplied by procurement, construction, planning, engineering and estimating to produce reliable project cost reporting and forecasting. Collect progress data from engineering and process engineering progress reports Prepare Projects summary reports, work closely with billing specialist on monthly invoices Produce clear and concise tabular cost reports and graphs. Generate cash flow reports as directed by Project Controls Manager Analyze variances between budgets and forecasts. Inform project management about cost trends and propose appropriate recommendations. Assemble resource and revenue projections reports, projects auditing reports, cash flow reports, utilization reports for the Division Management as directed by the Manager of Project Controls.
