Inside Sales and CSR
The Day & Ross Transportation Group is currently seeking a full-time Inside Sales Coordinator/Customer Service Representative for our Sameday Sales division in Lachine, QC.

The position aims to support the Regional Sales Manager and Sales team by providing a positive customer experience and supporting sales activities.
Please note: This position is scheduled for Monday to Friday, daytime hours, but may be required outside these hours.
To be successful in this role, you will exceptionally complete the following (not an exhaustive list of responsibilities):
Assist with new customer on-boarding including meeting with and assisting with credit applications, forwarding required documents, providing orientation and training on the on-line portal, processes and procedures, etc.
Produce monthly reports for customers and prepare customers metrics such as on time, claims etc.
Create various reports, such as:
variance, weekly call/log, and other as required
Code and communicate missed pickups
Track and trace deliveries and handle logistics as required
Handle incoming sales calls and makes routine cold calls; escalate to Account Managers as necessary
Mine inactive accounts to uncover opportunity to reactive shipping
Follow up on new and extended business opportunities from sales leads, spot quotes report, drivers’ leads and proactively engaging customers
Provide assistance to resolve service challenges/failures and escalate when appropriate.
Assist the Sales Manager with consolidation and producing various reports
Assist the sales team with the preparation of presentations using Power Point and other forms of presentation tools
Research events and trade shows in Atlantic Canada for the sales team to participate in and coordinate attendance, if required
Book sales appointments as required.
Engage in project work as needed
Perform other related duties as may be required.
To be qualified for this role, please ensure your resume clearly displays some or all of the following
Post-secondary education in business, office administration, sales or customer service preferred
Minimum of two years’ experience in a sales support/customer service/inside sales role
Previous experience in the transportation industry is a strong asset.
Strong computer skills, particularly accuracy and knowledge of MS Office products; advanced experience with Excel and presentation software will be considered an asset.
Experience with AS400, Saleforce.com, and other web based programs also an asset.
Demonstrated customer relationship management skills
Able to work under pressured and with deadlines
Ability to utilize good judgement, resourcefulness, initiative and an appropriate level of urgency when dealing with sales representatives and customers.
Strong English & French language skills required; other languages an asset
The working environment can include extended periods sitting, working on a computer and on a phone.
