The Human Resources Generalist/Representative is responsible for providing effective HR counseling services and supporting the business units under their responsibility. This individual is responsible for the implementation of various strategic Human Resources projects, programs and practices, to support and assist the HR team and different business partners in various geographical areas.- Bachelor”s degree in human resources, labour relations or in business administration; a combination of other education and experiences will be considered- This position requires an individual with previous experience performing HR Generalist responsibilities. Min of 3yrs required. – Experience in both federally and provincially regulated accounts is ideal.- One (1) year or more of experience in the transportation and warehousing industry preferred- One (1) year or more of experience in handling occupational work injury files (CSST / WSIB / WBC / Worksafe) preferred- One (1) year or more of experience with SAP System preferred- Strong solution, focus, and comfort, working in a fast-paced environment, which demands strong deliveries with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate results and solutions- Customer focus with demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skillsAbility to:- Manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments- Perform work independently with minimal supervision- Work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlinesParticipate, lead and implement different strategic HR projects and initiatives on annual basis. Responsible for setting action plans, dealing with change management and making sure all details in a project are includedResponsible for managing and following up on employee relations issues for multiple locationsResponsible to follow up and updating occupational work injuries files as well as disability casesManage and conduct investigations related to workplace issuesProvide support to develop, interpret and monitor HR policies procedures and guidelines and ensure these are updated, implemented and communicatedAdvise and provide support in disciplinary cases and ensure legislative requirements are met and understoodCoach and assist the management team in the performance evaluation processConduct orientation programs for new administrative and hourly employees and ensure that all the necessary paperwork is completed upon hiring and submitted to the appropriate departmentEnsure that inquiries concerning the management of the benefit programs and pension plan are effectively responded toAct as liaisonbetween support groups and the Payroll department to ensure all deadlines and requirements are met on a timely mannerPrepare and perform necessary presentations to the employees regarding various HR subject matters and conduct HR-related training, when neededParticipate in various committee meetings such as Employee and Health & Safety meetingsPerform any other related duties as assignedHow to apply:Apply directly to this postingEmail your resume to email@example.comWe arean equal opportunity employer.
