Candidates will be considered for open roles who have experience with operating CNC and Manual lathes, milling machines, mill/turn machines, and/or precision grinders. Due to growth within our business we have multiple openings for CNC Machinists. We provide training and development.Under the direction of a supervisor, the CNC Machinists are responsible for quality parts produced on CNC machines such as but not limited lathes, milling machines, precision grinders,Reading blueprints or job orders for product specifications: dimensions, tolerances, tooling instructions, fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cut, sequence of operations, and positioning of toolsSetup, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools including computer numerical controlled (CNC) tools to perform precision, non-repetitive machining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, planning, drilling, precision grinding and other operationsEnsuring that parts are created in a timely manner according to the schedule provided and according to the quality standards of the organizationVerify dimensions of machined part or tooling using micrometers, verniers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, or other specialized measuring instrumentsKnowledge of and experience with at least two (2) CNC operating systems such as Mazatrol, Fanuc, Siemens, etc. is an assetHigh school diploma or GED requiredCertificate or machinist knowledgeA minimum of 3 years of experience with precision machining in a production environmentExperience with aerospace, nuclear or automotive tier 1 Manufacturing processes an assetExperience with AS9100 an assetClear Background Records CheckMeet the registration requirements of the Controlled Goods ProgramAble to work in Canada, Canadian citizen or permanent residentEXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:Must have minimum 3 years’ of progressive experience operating CNC machines such as vertical and/or horizontal lathes and milling machines and or mill/turn machinesCoop Experience and assetKnowledge of reading drawings and specifications with a good understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensionsGood knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machinesExperience with at least two (2) different CNC operating systems an assetWe Offer:Competitive compensation, full time positions, 40 hrs/weekPremium for afternoon shiftComprehensive group benefit plan including medical, dental & life insurance coverageCompany contributions to retirement savings plan (RSP)Located near Hwy 400 and Finch Avenue in Toronto, OntarioWorking with a Great Team!Candidates can apply directly online or by sending a resume in .pdf or .docx format by email to TGST-HR@triumphgroup.com quoting the job title ”CNC Machinist Application” in the subject line Please be advised that the online application complies with US hiring practices and includes voluntary EEO information collection and a Veteran”s survey.
