More information can be found atwww.lafarge.ca/careers.Reporting to the Greater Vancouver Area (GVA) Metro Area Manager, the Readymix (RMX) FleetManager role is primarily focused on Transit Mixer Truck Fleet Maintenance and availability.This role requires leadership and direct management of maintenance staff & SAP Administration, along with strong interactions with Operational Staff across GVA.Additionally, this role is responsible for managing maintenance and ongoing operation of associated fleet systems, such as GPS and Cameras.Promotes a positive safety culture through leadership by example; performs all work activities following all relevant safety policies and procedures.Ensure compliance of process and fleet with BC and National Safety CodeEnsure compliance with all Preventative Maintenance (PM) requirements, as well as CVIP and DOT requirementsEnsure scheduled service intervals are met in an efficient manner Ensure fleet availability targets related to truck uptime are met or exceededManage maintenance team and activities to ensure efficient use of resources whilst minimizing maintenance costsForecast maintenance spend, track spend, and Analyse historical spend to ensure improvement opportunities are pursued on an individual truck and fleet level.Manage external maintenance vendors to ensure service level agreements are achievedMonitor and control inventory and maintenance of equipment in Workshop locationsSchedule or assign work to mechanics and external vendorsReads and interprets relevant Pre-Trip condition reports and/or maintenance requests to ensure correct prioritization and work orders are createdApproves Purchase orders after researching best prices on parts or repairs from external vendors Basic Troubleshooting of fleet support systems such as GPS and cameras, and management of any required maintenance or upgrades.
