Engineer II – Carpentry/Builder, Trump Int’l Hotel Las Vegas
Reports to: Director of Facilities
The purpose of this position is to assist the Manager of Facilities in working with the Facilities staff to maintain and repair the hotel and suite equipment and to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Facilities department while providing Five Star service to our guests.
Qualifications and Physical/Mental Requirements
Must be able to walk and stand throughout the work shift and be able to climb a 40” ladder as well as lift 60 to 80 lbs. Above-average communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to work well with diverse groups of people. Advanced computer applications highly recommended: Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be well organized, and have accurate record keeping shills. Ability to maintain confidentiality, objectivity and use of good judgment.
Must be a team player, and be a good role model for the company, with enthusiasm & optimism.
Must be able to effectively deal with internal & external guests. Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations. Must have flexibility in days/hours able to work.
Specific Position Requirements
This position requires demonstrated experience and proficiency in metal stud framing systems, drywall, cabinetry, finish carpentry, to include base and crown moldings, suspended ceilings, doors & hardware.
Plumbing, electrical, and welding experience is a plus. The candidate must be an individual with craftsmanship and a passion for their work in assisting others on the facilities team to maintain a luxury hotel property.
Maintenance of the Trump Int’l Hotel & Towers – Las Vegas.
Complete daily maintenance tasks for the department. Communicate with fellow associates to make sure their areas are operating smoothly and all supplies/stocks are maintained.
Communicate with the Manager or Director of Facilities with daily reports of any and all pending problems. Consult with Engineers and ground keepers about safety and the proper and safe way to maintain equipment.
Trade school or vocational school with concentration in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
