Position Description
Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting crude oil and refined products to the West Coast. We deliver nearly 300,000 barrels of crude oil and refined products each day through 1,150 kilometers of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington State.
The Trans Mountain Expansion Project will provide increased capacity to support Canadian crude oil production growth and ensure access to global energy markets. The largest project in our history, it involves the installation of approximately 980 km of new pipeline, new and modified facilities including pump stations and terminals, and a new dock complex at the Westridge Marine Terminal in British Columbia.
As a federal Crown corporation, the newly formed Trans Mountain Corporation will continue to build upon our 65 years of experience delivering operational and safety excellence through our crude oil pipeline system.
We are accountable to Parliament through the Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDEV). As a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDEV, we are governed by an independent Board of Directors.

Provide general administrative support to VP Finance and Finance staff.
Assist in planning and coordinating calendars, event planning, making travel arrangements, and internal and external communication. Oversee document management for the group and provide input on filing practices and procedures, including management of electronic documents.
Assist with department processes and procedures as required, including employee expense reports, vendor invoice coding, and treasury support.
Act as liaison between the Finance department and other internal and external parties.
Responsibilities include:
Manage the calendar, action items, and deliverables of the VP Finance, and provide administrative support to other Executives when required.
Support employee time and expense reporting for Finance staff.
Provide guidance to department staff and oversee standards for management of physical and electronic documents.
Provide vacation/sick coverage for Treasury when needed. Includes preparation of cheque and wire transfer payments, electronic payment files, information requests and communication with bank as required.
General administration – typing, copying, mail, couriers, meeting logistics, stationery supplies, vendor invoice coding; P-card administration and transaction coding;
Act as a first point of contact for general Finance inquiries, and act as liaison between Finance and other internal and external parties.
Assist with internal and external communication on behalf of the Finance department.
Position Requirements
Our ideal candidate will have a Diploma in a business administration or communications or technical related field.
Experience in a Finance or Corporate based position would be beneficial.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access.
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in an administrative support role with exposure to Sr. Managers.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
Detail oriented.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work with minimum supervision.
Self motivated.
Proficiency in document control and maintaining electronic and paper filing systems.
Flexible and adaptable to change
