Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, this position is responsible for the disassembly, investigation, assembly, and repairing/adjustment of rotating equipment. This position supports all over North America and some International assignments. Technicians are expected to be away from home for up to 80% of the year.Required:Millwright Journeyman Certificate7+ years of experience in the industryRotating equipment experience a must:Reciprocating compressor experienceCentrifugal compressor experienceSteam turbine experienceWorking knowledge and understanding pf precision equipment Basic experience with rigging equipment Must be able to work with minimal directionWillingness to travel 80% of timeAbility to routinely lift at least 25 pounds for up to 8 hours; ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodicallyWillingness and ability to work overtime and/or irregular hoursWillingness and ability to work in remote locationsPreferred:Supervisor experienceKey Responsibility 1: Safety, Health and EnvironmentKeep work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly conditionPerform duties and operate equipment in a safe and satisfactory mannerComplete all required safety trainingConduct a daily JSEA and report any safety concerns observedKey Responsibility 2: Job Specific RequirementsConduct mechanical overhauls and repairs of compressors, engines and other equipment (specifically an Reciprocating Compressors, Centrifugal Compressors and Steam Turbines)Equipment and Tooling:Machine tools such as mills, drills, grinders and lathes for basic operationsAll necessary hand tooling needed to perform and function including hand and powered industrial trucks, lifting, cranes and other material handling equipmentMeasuring and aligning instrumentsAct as liaison between the client, factories and engineeringAssist clients with new installation, commissioning and start up proceduresDevelop equipment installation, maintenance and overhaul schedules with client’s inputAs required, attend post job meetings with Client(s), Sales and Project ManagementGood communication and accurate reporting to Client(s), Controller and Project ManagementLead, direct and train junior Dresser-Rand Field Service personnelNo agency submissions please.
