Summary of Responsibilities: Fairmont Gold, the brand’s exclusive lifestyle hotel within a hotel experience features warm and personalized service with amenities such as a private reception desk and a comfortable Guest lounge. Fairmont Gold is dedicated to a consistent high quality of service designed to meet the needs and expectations of the discriminating business executive and leisure traveler. The Fairmont Gold Manager is a vital element in Fairmont Gold’s “level of perfection.” This individual has a dynamic personality coupled with the mindset of a great business thinker. They embody the traits of a politician being able to communicate and motivate all supporting departments regardless of how they fell about the product; the role of nurturer in being able to foster relationships that vary with each Guestand the consummate concierge “magician” being able to secure tickets to sold out performances and best tables last minute at the finest restaurants with a six month waiting list. To summarize an effective Fairmont Gold Manager should be the proverbial “ Jack of all trades and master of all.” Reporting to the Director of Rooms, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Demonstrates Fairmont Corporate standards and Service Promise standards in every interaction with guests and colleagues Ensures that all Fairmont Gold standards of service and operation are adhered to. Monitors the maintenance of the physical Gold product Oversees all aspects of guest service in the daily operation of Fairmont Gold, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction at all times Ensures the highest revenues possible are generated by participating in, supporting and promoting the Fairmont Gold up sell program as well as monitoring honor bar revenue Updates and reviews Fairmont Gold Guest history and Profile Plus daily to ensure information is accurate, and that all guest needs are met and requests are anticipated Provides exceptional concierge information to our guests and continuously updates iconcierge program to ensure current and relevant information provided Develops and maintains strong relationships with local area vendors, concessionaires, local community and counterparts of Fairmont Gold though Fairmont Hotels and Resorts. Develops and maintains strong relationships with guests to ensure Fairmont Gold Loyalty and handles all daily Fairmont Gold comments and proactively resolve any concerns. Communicates effectively with all other departments and attends any communication meetings and leadership meetings representing the Fairmont Gold Department. Trains, supervises and communicates with all contributing colleagues on a daily basis, to ensure all Fairmont Gold standards are met. Inspects Gold guestrooms daily for cleanliness and maintenance issues including completion of housekeeping audits, turndown and occupied rooms cleaning audits. Works with the Sous-chef, Culinary team, and In Room Dining team to maintain high quality Food & Beverage Offerings & impeccable presentation, on Fairmont Gold in line with Fairmont Gold standards. Makes measurable contributions to the overall strategic goals, initiatives and objectives Proposes and Facilitates cost-effective guest experience enhancements. Directs and executes approved plans and programs for Gold in accordance with company and hotel policies. Assignments in other Supervisory positions during the closure of Fairmont Gold, or as required. Creates an environment that allows colleagues to achieve engagement and development through coaching team members and team building events. Promotes and adheres to the company’s Health & Safety policies to ensure a safe work environment and knowledgeable about all safety and emergency procedures. Promotes and adheres to the company’s Environmentalpolicies and procedures. Participates actively in the hotel community to further inter-departmental working relationships.
