This includes the assisting of management of projects and processes to maintain the highest standards for construction, renovations, furniture and general maintenance at all Ceridian Canada locations.Reports to: Facilities ManagerResponsibilities:1. Coordinates all aspects of facilities management activities and projects including:Assisting with and developing or proposing project plans for all facility management initiativesAssisting with managing of contractors for construction, HVAC, electrical, cabling, lighting and health and safety;Liaising with building management in various facilities regarding projects and any facility or security related compliance issues.2. Perform light maintenance duties such as hanging pictures, hanging whiteboards and moving furniture when required.3. Troubleshoot voice and data cabling of workstations and audio-visual equipment.4. Manage complex situations such as environmental issues and disaster recovery5. Repair and installation of carpeting, tile, flooring systems and ceiling tiles as needed.6. May be required to perform general duties such as cleaning of conference rooms,furniture,carpets,windows cleaning,common areas.7. Communicate frequently with staff, landlords and vendors to resolve issues and provide project status updates8. Maintain and update Facilities spreadsheets with headcount and floor layouts9. Liaise with suppliers and building maintenance for regular maintenance calls10. Receive and deliver various office supplies and PC equipment throughout the office11. Liaise with suppliers for regular deliveries of facilities related goods.12. Sort, deliver and collect external and internal mail to staff and departments13. Performs other related duties as required14. Back up reception desk as neededQualifications:Minimum high school diploma, BOMA or IFMA an asset3-5 years of experience in property management services and coordinating office moves and construction. Must have good project management and organizational skills, strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects.Must be able to work occasional after hours’ work. In addition, have a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle.Frequent travel among our GTA properties is required with this roleStrong communication skills.
