Our Opportunity We are hiring environmental monitors for large scale heavy civil construction and earthworks projects. You will be responsible for activities such as developing and implementing construction environmental plans; conducting inspections for environmental compliance to any relevant permits; conducting soil and water sampling; erosion and sediment control planning, and implementation and maintenance. Requirements  Technical diploma or Bachelor’s degree, and be a member in good standing with either Alberta Institute of Agrologists (AIA), Alberta Society of Professional Biologists (ASPB), Association of Science and Engineering Technology in Alberta (ASET), or Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists (APEGA)  Minimum 5 years direct relevant experience focusing on construction projects, preferably in a consulting environment  Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in remediation and/or spill response consulting  Demonstrated experience conducting and applying mitigation measures  Experience writing and/or implementing water quality monitoring plans  Experience with fish rescue / salvage  Experience with biophysical resource monitoring (wildlife, birds, vegetation) in either AB and/or BC for construction projects  Extensive experience writing technical reports and excellent communication skills  Technical competence and strong attention to detail  A high level of dependability  A driver’s license is required for this position What We Offer Allnorth is dedicated to its Triple Bottom Line of People, Clients & Partners and Profitability.
