There are multiple positions available in different teams, you will be asked to indicate if you have a preference in area during the application process. Please note this will not disqualify you for being considered for all of the positions available, it will help us match your interests where possible.Main Duties & Responsibilities:Your duties may include but are not limited to:ReservoirConduct reservoir studies for the purpose of optimizing production in a specific pool or areaReservoir & waterflood managementDetermine feasibility of specific well re-completions or stimulations Conduct evaluations of prospective acquisition opportunitiesConduct well log interpretationPrepare and submit governmental or asset reports or applicationsConduct economic or financial analysis of field operating costsGather, manipulate and analyze dataDrilling & CompletionsStudent will complete 8 months in Drilling and 8 months in Completions Input wells into Wellview Set up working files and assist in preparing drilling plans Build AFE costs based on technical and budget demands Map H2S areasCreate Accumap offset maps and notifications for IRP 24 requirements Co-ordinate service companies and provide them with the required informationReview the proposed service company programs with the superintendent Review field costs and update required reports including management reporting Complete supplemental AFE’s for drilling and completions Perform and implement area completion studies comparing completion types in the WCSB and operated areasActively participate in field visits to various completion operationsAttend meetings and organize drill and completion schedulesExploitation Conduct decline analysis using Oilfield Manager softwareConduct field optimization of production equipment and producing ratesDetermine feasibility of specific well re-completions or stimulations Conduct evaluations of prospective acquisition opportunitiesConduct well log interpretationPrepare and submit governmental or asset reports or applicationsConduct economic or financial analysis of field operating costsGather, manipulate and analyze dataFacilities Conduct pipeline hydraulic calculations using Fekete or equivalent softwareAssist in preparing AFE costs based on technical and budget demands Prepare facility / pipeline project working filesCreate Accumap pipeline infrastructure mapsPerform evaluation/optimization of surface equipmentAssist in facility and/or field gathering design and constructionPrepare governmental applicationsConduct economic or financial analysis of field construction costsGather, manipulate and analyze dataInnovationConstruct economic models and run sensitivities for economic justification of new projects and initiativesTrack and analyze the performance of existing projectsConstruct reports and presentations for managementAssist with applications for federal funding for green energy projects, and applications for permitting of new technologies Assist with the tracking of the capital budgetAssist with the project management of project installationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Working towards an Engineering Degree is required, must be returning to post-secondary institution following the internship work termMust be approved through university to participate in Internship program and complete a 16 month work termPrevious experience in the oil and gas industry would be an assetExcellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel High level of accuracy and attention to detail is essentialAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment is requiredEnthusiastic individual with excellent organizational and time management skills Team player who enjoys learning and contributing to team goals Only qualified candidates of interest will be contacted
