Responsibilities/Duties: The Medicine Hat Regional Hospital Emergency Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time emergency physician. The Medicine Hat Regional Hospital is a level 3 Regional Trauma referral centre averaging 39,000 emergency visits per year with a catchment area of 110,000 in South Eastern Alberta. Emergency Department offers 24-hour service with 14 full and part-time Emergency Physicians. Compensation: Fee-for-Service and is competitive with similar job opportunities across the countryAlberta Medical Association (AMA) IncentivesRetention Benefit – supports and promotes the retention of physicians in Alberta by rewarding their continuous years of service to Albertans. Eligible physicians may receive between $5,085 and $12,712.Medical Liability Reimbursement – reimburses eligible physicians for their medical liability protection costs less a $1,000 deductible.Continuing Medical Education – reimburses physicians for eligible continuing medical education costs.
