Position Description
Kinder Morgan is the largest independent terminal operator in North America, providing a strong, reliable network of terminals to serve our customers’ storage, distribution, blending and logistical needs.
These assets include a portfolio of strategic infrastructure across western Canada including terminal and rail facilities in Alberta and a bulk handling marine terminal in Vancouver Wharves, BC
Based at our Vancouver Wharves facility and reporting to the Engineering Manager the position of Drafter is responsible for developing, maintaining and administering engineering drawings pertaining specifically to the Vancouver Wharves location.
Responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Provides drafting and design services for the Vancouver Wharves facility.
Responsible for the administration of the
Drawing Management system and drafting standards and the development of related project policies, standards and procedures.
Works directly with external EPCM companies to ensure adherence to policies, standards and procedures.
Position Requirements
Minimum 5 years experience in drafting and design, industry related.
Diploma in Drafting and Design or Mechanical Engineering Technology from a recognized post secondary institution.
ASET CET or RET designation or is fully eligible for CET/RET designation.
Advanced AutoCAD
Experience developing drafting standards and procedures.
Proven proficiency in administrating drafting work with external consultants.
Self motivated and confident with minimal supervision.
Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
Strong leadership skills.
Thrives in a multitasking environment with rapidly changes in priorities.
