SCOPE: The Digital Media & Design Coordinator plays an integral role as a key member of a dynamic and progressive Marketing Team for the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo (RRC). Specializing in creating compelling multi-channel content, this contributor builds strong stakeholder relationships & tackles a variety of marketing & design-related projects while bringing RRC brands to life through the execution of sport, entertainment & recreation related marketing programs. This individual is a conceptual thinker with an affinity for visual and creative solutions. Position Type: 1 Full Time Position AvailableAnticipated Start Date: September 01, 2018Pay Type: TBD based on experiencePosted: August 10, 2018Preference will be given to internal applicants who apply within the CUPE closing dateDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop programs that promote the RRC’s strategic priorities, vision and mission.Translate marketing strategies into effective content for digital & print mediaCollaborate with internal clients; provide design concepts & solutionsAssist with the development of solutions based on consumer insights & dataProactively ensure brand standards are adhered toContribute to strategies that accelerate growth of the RRC social media programAssist with the email marketing programManage CMS & advertising systems Ensure content creation, production and execution timelines are metMonitor progress of projects, including the tracking of all project files and archives, and provide continuous communication to the Senior Manager, Marketing & Sponsorship regarding on-going project and status updatesServe as an in-house resource for managing the content and media libraryWork with vendors & suppliers to complete signage and collateral projects Other relevant duties as requiredEducation:A background in visual communication developed through a combination of education & experienceCompletion of a degree or diploma in a related design fieldEssential Skills & Experience:Demonstrated ability to drive for product leadership in an entrepreneurial styleMaintains a portfolio demonstrating strong technical expertise in designMotivated by deadlines & skilled with bringing projects to successful completionFluent with Adobe Creative Cloud: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop Ability to apply creative methods to communicate concepts, ideas & solutionsKnowledgeable with file prep & print shop procedures Ability to employ best practices & values that govern work in creative servicesDesirable Skills & Experience:Experience in entertainment &/or recreation industryPhotography skills Experience with Google & Facebook digital ad networks Experienced with interactive media designWorking knowledge of Content Management Systems PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS &WORKING CONDITIONS:This is a full time position with a flexible 40 hour work week (evening & weekend work is required for events) Most of the work is performed in an office environment requiring use of standard office equipment.
