Position Description: Morgan Stanley Legal Compliance & Corporate Governance Technology (LCG) group is looking for a devops Specialist who, in addition to being hands-on, will lead a team of consultant developers in implementing tools and automation required to champion agile practice for a larger development organization. The position requires good technical skills, collaboration and leadership skills. The successful candidate will be part of the embedded team of the Dev Ops organization, be part of the agile team in assisting with onboarding the applications to the automated continuous pipeline framework, asses the infrastructure needs/procure the right infrastructure and collaborate with development, engineering and product support teams who are part of the agile team. We are at the beginning stage of implementing Dev Ops for the LCG organization; there will be plenty of challenges and fun to have. You will be part of a successful, challenging and global Dev Ops team. Skills required: – Strong devops engineering experience with automated build tools, continuous integration and continuous deployment concepts – Source code control systems like GIT or Perforce – Source code dependency management and automation with at least one of the following: Ant, Gradle or other similar tools/frameworks – Experience with Jenkins, Sonar, Fortify, BDD, Selenium and other standard code coverage/testing tools – Experience with Docker, Maven or other similar tools – Interpretive scripting development with Python and Perl – Linux/Unix scripting development with Ksh or other Shell environment – Ability to work with development teams and influence them to adopt practicing agile devops processes as part of their SDLC life cycle – Ability to provide consultative/thought leadership to enable application team to adopt new automations – Ability to take new requirement to bring back to the core team and work with the core team to build additional tools and automations Skills Desired: – Good development skills with Java, J2EE – Hadoop/Scala or any other big data experience – Database development experience with MS SQL, Sybase, DB2 or Mongo DB – Good communication and interpersonal skills – Financial Services domain experience Educational qualification and experience: – Bachelor or Master’s Degree in engineering/computer science from a recognized institution – Minimum 5 years of development experience Knowledge of French and English are required.
