Job Title: Contracts Coordinator – Finance & Business SupportWork Site: Financial Planning -520 West 6th – Vancouver, BCStatus: Regular Full TimeReference#: 107250-tboJOB SUMMARY:Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning and within the context of the strategic direction and operating plan of Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), the Contracts Coordinator is responsible for supporting all service contracts for the organization relative to the annual plan, and for providing business decision support. Key areas for active involvement and accountability include developing and maintaining Community Health Service Agreements in accordance with Contract Management policies; maintaining baseline and payment schedules for proposed and contracted agencies; maintaining a Contracts Registry and Database and ensuring data integrity; acting as liaison with VCH Financial Operations Team regarding payments and enquiries; and providing financial and statistical information support to the other members of the Finance and Business Support Team. The Contracts Coordinator provides financial and business support for over 500 service contracts totaling approximately $400 million across VCH. These contracts include contracts for health service providers such as residential care facilities, mental health and addictions programs, home support, and other community health contracts.QUALIFICATIONS:Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Minimum of three (3) years’ recent, related business and financial experience in a public or not-for-profit organization.ExpertiseDemonstrated financial planning, monitoring and reporting expertise.Extensive knowledge of health and business administration.Advanced technical computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database usage.Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.Broad knowledge of accounting, administrative and contract management principles and practices.Results oriented within a high-pressure working environment with numerous critical timelines.Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize workload, ensuring a high degree of accuracy and meeting all deadlines.Demonstrated ability to effectively organize information and records.Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.Qualified applicants only please submit a resume and covering letter quoting competition # 107250-tbo.
