The Centralized Branch Compliance Officer (C-BCO) will work in partnership with the Branch Compliance Officer to execute an effective mutual fund compliance program for designated mutual fund activities. The C-BCO will conduct compliance reviews of mutual fund trades, new account opening and KYC updates, using a workflow tool, and provide feedback on the execution of specific transactions for action by Fully Licensed Registrant / Newly Licensed Registrant / Approved Person (RISR) employees in the branch. Accountabilities Conduct daily trade surveillance / account activity / new account reviews on a T+1 basis, and raise any potential issues identified in a timely manner with the RISR who processed the transaction/activity Assess the appropriateness of the trade, account activity and new accounts based on the customer profile (including Know Your Client rules) and an understanding of mutual fund products and compliance rules Provide feedback to RISR employees, via the workflow tool to explain the decision on the mutual funds compliance audit and to explain the required next steps (i.e., take remedial action and submit again) Review client account documentation, if documents are not e-signed Support investigations related to any audit issues, complaints, Compliance or Corporate Audit reviews, and regulator requests for information which will require direct business partner/stakeholder contact The Centralized Branch Compliance Officer (C-BCO) will work in partnership with the Branch Compliance Officer to execute an effective mutual fund compliance program for designated mutual fund activities.
