Great-West Life’s Toronto Disability Management Services Office (DMSO) is recruiting for a Case Manager. The Case Managers are an integral member of a client service team pro-activelymanaging disability claims by evaluating medical information and job duties to adjudicate claims, developing case management plans and facilitating return to employment.They are also responsible for delivering timely, professional and responsive service to our clients and their employees.At Great-West Life Customers are at the centre of what we do. Candidates should have an employment history showcasing a demonstrated commitment to customer service excellence.Accountabilities:Assess new claims to determine initial entitlement for benefits in accordance with insurance contract provisions, comparing medical information and functional ability to job duties.Develop and execute comprehensive,multi-faceted case management plans.Implement return-to-work plans collaborating and consulting with various stakeholders involved.Pro-activelymanage accepted claims through identification of appropriate cost effective measures to manage claim duration.Prepare cost-benefit analyses to validate claims management expenses.Effectively communicate claim decisions to claimants and employers and respond to inquiries from claimants, employers, physicians, lawyers, and internal Great-West Life business partners.Living our values of Customer View; Integrity; Partnership; and Communities.Qualifications and Competencies:Post secondary degree is preferable. Previous successful candidates have been from disciplines including Kinesiology, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Arts and Business.
