MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Performance ExpectationsImprove technology processes and systems that positively impact the businessElicit, analyze, document and validate business requirements using a variety of tools including research, interviews, document analysis and process analysisEstablish the accuracy, completeness and relevance of requirementsIdentify user needs and issues through questioning and listeningCreate viable specifications and acceptance criteria for developed solutionsDraft technical and conceptual reports and correspondence that are clear, succinct, well organized and relevant to readerEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and partners across the firmLiaise between the business and Technology departments to provide business and system analysis serviceDevelop in-depth working knowledge of departmental processes, programs and systemsDevelop basic knowledge of user’s business and technology needs to facilitate discussions at a peer levelCreate and maintain formal and informal project management plans, schedules and timelines; coordinate resources and proactively communicate when neededAccountable for completing projects and ensuring all deadlines are communicated and metChallenge how procedures were performed in the past and identify opportunities for improving effectiveness and efficiency of overall processes in user departments and in how projects are executedSupport and participate in developing innovative approaches and solutions to resolve issuesDevelop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses and industryContribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processesRaise awareness of MNP at community eventsAttend internal MNP courses to further develop your information technology knowledgeCredentialsCompletion of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Technology or related program; relevant experience will also be consideredPreference will be given to holders of the Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designationMinimum five (5) to eight (8) years of related work experience Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organizationDemonstrated ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all timesStrong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPointCore Competencies and Personal CharacteristicsIntegrity – professional whose honesty, integrity, confidentiality and high ethical standards contributes to effective leadership and optimal business relationshipsEnergy – displays enthusiasm, optimism, drive and passion while maintaining a high level of productivity and a balanced lifestyleDiversity – understands the importance of different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences and is respectful of individual differencesCommunication – effectively expresses ideas and conveys information in business writing, conversations and interactions with othersClient Service Excellence – understands the importance of quality client service by being courteous, responding to client requests in a timely manner and monitoring satisfactionTeamwork & Relationship Development – works collaboratively with team members in order to achieve a common goal and develops, maintains and strengthens relationships with others, both inside and outside the FirmAccountability – takes responsibility for one’s own performance by setting clear goals and tracking progress against those goals; is highly organized and uses personal judgement and decision makingFlexibility – effectively manages multiple assignments, adapts to changing priorities and is able to work independently or as part of a teamTechnical Expertise – demonstrates in-depth professional and technical knowledge when completing tasksForward Thinking – anticipates the implications of situations, takes appropriate action as needed and prepares for possible contingenciesMNP encourages a balanced lifestyle and offers benefits that suit the way our team members work and play!
