City: Guelph Province / State: ON Category: Full time Req. #: 4556 Openings: 1 Description As a key member of the Eastern Operations Team, reporting to the Deliver Manager, theBilingual WeekendDelivery Coordinatorwill be responsible for proactively directing and dispatching the daily work schedules of Drivers to effectively and efficiently meet customer delivery needs. The Delivery Coordinator will also review and manage orders, removing obstacles and be responsible for updating and maintaining re-occurring fuel orders and daily activity within the routing system. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Build positive, collaborative relationships with all points of contact including and work collaboratively to utilize available resources to successfully meet customer needs and expectations. Act as the primary point of contact for Drivers, dispatching daily work and ensuring order fulfillment. Monitor the progress and execution of the work plans and adjust schedules accordingly to minimize and prevent out of gas (OOG) occurrences. If necessary, approve and authorize over time. Troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered by the Driver, including On Board Truck Computers (OBTC) issues, routing or scheduling issues or conflicts, and activate fleet contingency plans when necessary. Confirm and verify delivery appointments, reschedule appointments and create recurring orders as required to increase efficiency and prevent OOG occurrences and improve response / delivery time to customers. Conduct interval analysis to ensure effective and timely delivery and minimal OOG to optimize the workbench. Collaborate with theMarket Manager(s) (MM) to update and provide feedback on day-to-day operations, staffing activities and the achievement of performance standards. Immediately notify the FOM of any safety, performance and attendance issues or successes. The FOM, as the direct manager of the Driver / Service Technician, will then manage the situation accordingly, addressing performance gaps to performance standards. Ensure the integrity of data within Roadnet’s Transportation Suite andADD Energy Systemin maintaining accurate records of daily activities and customer locations sites. Review, manage, and report on delivery work orders and Daily Transaction Reports (DTRs) daily from Drivers to ensure they are completed accurately and that service technician utilization is appropriate. Comply and consistently utilize standard processes and procedures to effectively manage customer and operational needs. Promote adherence to all relevant Regulatory and Safety requirements, both legislated and internal standards. Coordinate with the Supply and Transportation Coordinator to monitor and report on propane inventory levels and assist in preparing demand forecasting. Answer overflow inbound calls requiring delivery or service and participation in after-hours on-call rotation as required. Perform other duties, as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum grade 12 education, preferably with relevant post-secondary education, and/or technical certification in operations or logistics. Minimum three (3) years previous dispatch and / or service coordination experience. Superior communication skills (verbal & written) and the ability to present information to a variety of audiences in both French and English. Proven customer-focused work style, with strong communication and organizational skills to meet our customer promise. Delivers on commitments with the ability to respond to customers’ needs effectively. Intermediate computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office, are required and previous experience with MS Access, Roadnet, ADD Energy System and routing or mapping technology is preferred. Working knowledge of applicable National and Provincial regulations with respect to Propane or Natural Gas Service activities Working knowledge of applicable Departments of Transportation and Employment Standards as it relates specifically to the trucking/driving and transportation of dangerous goods. Safety and technical knowledge, with the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. HOURS OF WORK: This position requires flexible availability for days, evenings, and weekends to accommodate multiple time zones. During our peak season (September – June) schedule will be Friday- Monday 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, and shifts will flip to Tuesday – Saturday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (July & August), subject to change based on needs of business.
