Ameresco Canada provides energy services to institutions such as schools, hospitals and universities and also government and commercial clients. These services include energy efficiency upgrades and renewals to building energy and water systems. Energy service agreements guarantee annual cost savings and operating improvements.The Sr. Project Technologist will be a support role for the project team reporting directly to the Vice President, Eastern Region (branch manager of the Ottawa region).Duties of this role will include any or all of below: Contribute to and prepare the design effort for energy efficiency and facility renewal improvement measures (mostly mechanical design with interface for the electrical & architectural design requirements) including cost estimates and report preparationSupervision and coordination of on-site construction progress and supervision of subcontractors maintaining day-to-day scheduling and planning for implementation (significant portion of role)Auditing and assessing existing building lighting and HVAC systemsPreparing sketches and/or drawings systems and assisting in the preparation of technical specifications and tenders Commissioning retrofitted or new building systems, Providing training to customer staff regarding the improvements made to the facilities. Following health & safety protocols for construction site workOther responsibilities as required by direct managerCandidate must be capable of working autonomously within the team environment and asking for support and guidance as required. Candidate must also enjoy the challenge of troubleshooting and problem solving in a technical setting. The candidate must present professionally to clients of Ameresco Canada.
